Anyone who knows Adam D. needs to remind him that a promise was made to Vivian they they would carry on with Bob's good work.  I'm sure that the present owners would gladly sell the rights cheaply as there is mo present commercial value, and pretty sure all there Tax code software has been converted to another language.

Your confidence in the present owners is sadly misplaced.  
To clarify:
 Adam didn't buy PowerBASIC himself, he was the agent when the rights to PowerBASIC were bought by his family company, Drake Software. Adam continued development of it until 2024.  Unfortunately, Drake Software was  sold to a large company who merged Drake Software with another company as Taxwell.  Taxwell took over the ownership of PowerBASIC, Adam was moved elsewhere and lost any say in what happened to it.  Based on numerous attempts by various people to contact them, Taxwell apparently has no interest in doing anything with it (including selling it).

Hence our current efforts to keep it alive for current users, even if it will see no further development.
