Good, having never heard of Zoom before

Zoom has been around since 2013.   It's competitor, MS Teams, came out in 2016 and as usual MS bundled it to stifle the competition.
Zoom is still the best at what it does.


Google Ai says about the main players in the field:

I hate it when I have to use Teams because that's what a client organisation uses. It's OK if everyone in the meeting is all the the same organisation with corporate MS365, but it can be a PITA for an outsider to join their meeting.
