RE: The Future - Colin Schmidt - 24.09.2025

Hi everyone,

Please find the meeting minutes from the second committee meeting attached. As you will read, the initial committee is officially formed at this time, albeit a lot more foundational work is yet to be done

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this discussion, thank you to the committee members for your direct participation, and thank you to our host Albert here on PUMP, which has facilitated these critical first steps

RE: The Future - Giuseppe Belziti - 27.09.2025

Good morning, I haven't been online for a while.
I'm available to contribute to the costs we need to cover. Furthermore, if we can contact the current owners of the source code, I'm willing to participate in a purchase offer.

... me too

Might I suggest ProBoards as an interim forum? It is cheap as in zero cost if advertising is not turned off.

PUMP is working fine for now.  Work is well advanced on a new board using phpBB Smile

It will be rolled out as soon as the new Committee has finalized a few things.  See http://pump.richheimer.de/showthread.php?tid=62&pid=598#pid598 (including formalising a Constitution for the Community and forum management and domain/hosting funding)

I did not make myself clear. I suggested Proboards as an interim forum for coding problems and advice until you decide the purpose for your endevor, which to me is currently unclear.

Do you really need ads to be able to read and write in a forum? What is unclear with our endeavour?

"I did not make myself clear. I suggested Proboards as an interim forum for coding problems and advice ..."
What is wrong with here?

"... until you decide the purpose for your endeavor, which to me is currently unclear." (spelling fixed)
How unclear?

Our purpose is quite clear if you read through this thread and the two sets of meeting minutes posted here Smile

I am not going to argue about it. To me the purpose is unclear. Perhaps my age is getting in the way.

In other threads there is talk about finding a replacement, which there ain't. There is also talk about purchasing powerbasic; which one or both and to what end? Is there anyone here capable enough in ASM to take it to the next level?
